I was taken by surprise how this story was in terms of focus on Davros as the main villain and character study in this audio, since I’m not a big fan of the character or the Daleks in that mind. Terry Molloy is simply amazing at playing the role, which makes this story all the while haunting to listen to and not to mention, a far more expected piece of writing than I intended it to be. Colin Baker is also impressive in this as Six, working alongside Davros as (temporary) scientific partners despite their previous encounters through the years.
The unexpected casting of Wendy Padbury as an entirely different character, rather than her titular role as Zoe Herriot in the series, caught me completely by surprise. I had hardly recognised her for the majority of the story and went along with her character’s (utmost creepy) interactions with Davros.
For the villains trilogy that had led up to Zagreus, I still think Omega is still my utmost favorite out of the three (due to my love for the villain, Five and Nev Fountain) but I will put Davros as highly reccomended for Sixth Doctor or Davros fans (or both!). Be warned though, this one was particularly long, clocking in at 2 and a half hours!

Companions attacked by white robots in a blank white expanse? Sounds familiar.
I am way excited for this episode, and I haven’t even seen Night Terrors yet.
I kind of hope this entire Series 6B is a sly tribute to Season 6B. Am I fangirling too much?

When Zoe met Jamie.
(Lost episode reconstruction by ChadMoore36 [YouTube]: The Wheel in Space)
Zoe’s laugh is so aborbs. Too bad that most of Two’s serials are lost…I would have loved to have seen this and The Highlanders in full motion.

Well, after finally getting my hands on The Wreck of the Titan, I have finally finished listening to the Six/Jamie trilogy from Big Finish.
TO ANY TWO/JAMIE/FRAZIER HINES FANS/ALL OF THE ABOVE:
BUY THIS.
Frazier Hines is so awesome is this 3 part story (4, if you count the linking Companion Chronicle Night’s Black Agents). The relationship with Colin Baker’s Doctor is uncanny like stepping back in time (no pun intended) to Patrick Troughton’s era, not to mention when Six and Jamie both meet up with Zoe in Legend of the Cybermen. <3
The interviews/CD extras are also well done. Lots of love for all of the actors. <3
The audio where Jamie keeps bumping into things and gets nervous around fairies, Wendy Padbury is still adorable as Zoe, and the Sixth Doctor gets turned into the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland for 5 minutes.
Oh, and did I mention this audio could be considered a sequel to The Mind Robber?
WIMSYYYYYYYY.~
(However, the story will make a lot more sense if you listen to City of Spires and The Wreck of the Titan since they are part of a trilogy.)
Unfortunately, I don’t have The Wreck of the Titan…but I could still keep up with the plot, thanks to the glory of exposition and recaps this show seems to do a lot. >.>
And the interviews with Colin and Wendy are adorbs (apparently, Wendy was Colin’s agent for a long time and helped him get into Doctor Who!). <3
