So after picking up the last 3 episodes off of Audible, I finished marathoning the rest of Serpent Crest today .Sufice to say, I was more impressed with this series rather than the last season: Demon Quest.
It had some nice touches with bringing back some continuity from the previous 2 Fourth Doctor audio series AND making a change trying to get from Point A to Point B without the TARDIS. Plus, we get a special treat with a multi-Doctor story in the last 2 episodes, featuring David Troughton taking over his late father’s role of the Second Doctor! :D
Episode 2 (The Broken Crown) and Episode 4 (The Hexford Invasion) were my faves of this series, mainly to do with the pacing and writing in Ep.2, and in Ep.4, dealing with Mrs. Wibbsey’s narrative with her own encounters with UNIT and meeting another version of the Doctor.
It’s certainly a great way to finish the Fourth Doctor series on a high note, and even though I have my nitpicks about the middle season, I reccomend to anyone who likes Doctor Who or the Fourth Doctor in general to pick any of the series up. (Especially with Audible’s 15% off sale currently at the moment, which runs until March 26th.)
